Dentist charged with insurance fraud in 2025 office explosion
Insurance Journal reports on how a “very successful” dentist is in jail, charged with arson and insurance fraud in connection with an explosion and fire at a dentist’s office in the town of Evergreen, Al., in March 2025. Dr. Douglas P. O’Connor “did knowingly and unlawfully commit the crime of insurance fraud by knowingly and with intent to defraud, conceal material information” presented to his property insurance company, reads the arrest warrant, filed in District Court in Conecuh County.
